Diana joins our Board with extensive experience in the affordable housing arena. She developed and participated in an Affordable Housing Committee in the mid 70's through 1984 while serving on the Martinez City Council.  With HUD and Housing partners, she developed below market rate rental and owner occupied housing. From 1984 to 1994 as Administrative Assistant to Contra Costa County Supervisor Nancy Fahden,  she advocated for and was involved in the development of affordable housing.  Currently Diana is working with Casa de la Cultura in our community to provide after school and summer music and culture classes for elementary school children in Calistoga. She was one of the main organizers of the Calistoga Art Center and more recently served as president and was also involved in organizing the ongoing children's after school and summer art program through the Art Center.

 

Jon Webb

Jon is a California native, and attended California State University in Sacramento. He is a principal in Albion Surveys, Inc. which employs a staff of 14 in St Helena.  He is a licensed surveyor in California, Alaska, and Montana.  Jon lives in Middletown, and currently is developing a small winery in Calistoga.

Larry has 40 years’ experience in educational administration, specializing in school development/construction and curriculum design. He has served a s superintendent of schools for several Seventh-day Adventist Conferences in the Midwest, and was the campus chaplain for the Modesto Adventist Academy. Since 2006, he has been a board member of the Calistoga Springs Mobile Home Park Homeowner’s Association, and is currently forming a Non-Profit entity to pursue Mobile Home Resident’s interests.

Paul is a former newspaper reporter and editor who retired in 2005 after 30 years at the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. As a reporter, he spent 12 years covering government beats, including the city of Santa Rosa, the County of Sonoma and the state Legislature. Subsequently, he moved into the Press Democrat’s editing ranks, starting as the night city editor, then becoming political editor and finishing his career as senior editor in charge of local news coverage during the week. Paul is a second-generation Calistoga native and a graduate of Calistoga elementary and high schools. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1973 with a degree in journalism. He is a member of the Calistoga Rotary Club and part of a two-person team producing oral history interviews for the Sharpsteen Museum.  

Susanne Deiss-Costanzo

Susanne is the former Director of Calistoga’s Family Center, and was also a CAH Board Member a few years ago. She and her husband recently sold the Calistoga Bike Shop, and she has rejoined our Board.  Susanne grew up in the Napa Valley area and has lived here most of her adult life.  She holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from Schiller International University in Heidelberg, and is fluent in Spanish, French, German and English. She has two daughters in Calistoga’s schools, where she has been active on several fronts, including creating a reading tutorial program and writing grants/consulting for other educational and community programs.

Bob Beck

Bob is a California native who, after several years in the corporate world, turned to real estate and has operated Beck & Taylor Realty since 1984.  A former city councilman, Bob has been active in several civic capacities, including Chairman of the Napa Valley Housing Authority, and Director or President of local clubs and associations.  Bob has developed a $3 million resort facility in Calistoga.  He is a Director of the Calistoga Vitality Group, a non-profit formed to help improve Calistoga’s economy, and is President of the Calistoga Chamber of Commerce.

Kelly is a local attorney specializing in real estate and business transactions. She has extensive affordable housing experience as a past board member of Napa Valley Community Housing and Jefferson Street Senior Housing in Napa.  She is a current board member of La Pradera Apartments  in Calistoga and Hunt’s Grove Apartments in St. Helena. Kelly is also a past member of the Calistoga Elementary School PTA Board of Directors and a current member of the Calistoga Education Foundation and Calistoga Youth Soccer.

Kent is a retired IRS Special Agent who held high management positions in the Western U.S. with that agency.  He grew up in Alaska and the Northwest, graduating from the University of Great Falls in Montana Kent has been very involved in community affairs in Calistoga, where he has been a member of the Board of the Sharpsteen Museum Association, member of the General Plan Citizen’s Advisory Committee, Director of the Calistoga Vitality Group and Administrator of the Calistoga Chamber of Commerce.  In early 2002 he received the Gary Barrett Lifetime Achievement Award for his service to the community.

Wayne is a retired project coordinator with the City of Berkeley Housing Department, where he spent 23 years working with affordable housing developments and rehabilitation programs.  With a BA in English from DePauw University, Wayne has also worked as a reporter and analyst for Dun & Bradstreet and is a published author of travel essays, including a column in The Weekly Calistogan.  Wayne is a member of the Land Trust of Napa County and the Sharpsteen Museum

Erica has been the Executive Director of Calistoga Affordable Housing, Inc since 2004. She came to CAH from Napa Valley Community Housing where she was a Project Manager responsible for a 28-Unit Apartment Development. Prior  to completing a Masters Degree in Community Planning and Certificate in Preservation from the University of Maryland, she spent 10 years working for the Federal Government, International Finance Corporation and elected officials in Washington DC. She also served in Niger, West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer for infant and maternal health.  Erica  shares in the ownership of Alpha Omega Winery, serves on the boards of the St. Helena Public School Foundation and the Napa Valley Community Foundation’s Calistoga Fund.  Former board assignments include the Technical Advisory Committee Board for Certified Emergency Response Training (CERT TAC) in Napa County and the Preservation Action Committee for Napa County Landmarks.

A 4-year resident of Calistoga, Ruth is married to Arturo Rodriguez and has 5 children.  Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Ruth is a founding board member of Casa de la Cultura, a local organization that works with the Calistoga Art Center to provide music and dance classes to Calistoga students after school.  She also shares her talents as a board member for the Calistoga Art Center.
